2024: New Year, New Goals, New Resolutions

Well it’s that time of the year when most people make New Year’s resolutions. Of course, if you’re reading this you probably already succeeded in making healthy and dietary changes.

Well it’s that time of the year when most people make New Year’s resolutions. Of course, if you’re reading this you probably already succeeded in making healthy and dietary changes. If you haven’t made those changes yet, a good place to begin is the Vegetarian Society of Tulsa Monthly Potluck .

Personally, my plant based journey started a while ago after watching a documentary called Forks Over Knives, which now can be seen for free on Tubi. Another documentary just came out on Netflix for the New Year called, You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment. I haven’t watch it yet, but I’m sure the film will confirm what plant-based eaters have known for a long time. If documentaries are not your thing, you can check out the news article entitled One identical twin went vegan while the other didn’t. See what happened .

I would be remiss if didn’t mention Veganuary this January. As it says on their website: Veganuary is a non-profit organisation that encourages people worldwide to try vegan for January and beyond. Millions of people have signed up to our one-month vegan pledge since 2014, and in 2023 alone more than 1,610 new vegan products and menu options were launched in our key campaign countries.

So if your new to the plant-based lifestyle or have been eating healthy for years, there’s a lot of good things happening in the plant-based world this new year.
